The Humanitarian Disaster in Iraq: Recognizing Reality by CFJ Doebbler & Ramsey Clark [Scheduled for release in late 2008 during the UN General Assembly] This timely publication reviews the most reliable data available on the humanitarian situation in Iraq. It shows that while the US military commander in Iraq, the US Amabssador in Iraq, and the US Administration are claiming things are improving, this is not reflected by the facts on the ground. Instead Iraq is perhaps the worst humanitarian disaster to effect a people in recent memory. The United States-led aggression has killed well over 1,000,000 Iraqis by the end of 2007 and may kill an equal number of Iraqis in the coming years unless the United States leaves Iraq to be governed by Iraqis.
